The Living Room transformation consisted of crown molding, new paint color, light fixture, wood window trim, new thermopane windows with low- E glass and hardwood flooring. A cost saving measure was hosen, paint the crown molding instead of the more expensive option of stain quality crown with a stained finish. Frankly, the difference was not noticable and worth the cost savings.
During the demolition process, a water leak was discovered in the bow, bay window. This required the area to be reframed and waterproofed with the latest leak prevention materials. We even water tested the windows to almost hurricane standards, see below:
