HVAC Duct Work Leakage Testing

Here's an energy saving option with a fast payback period. The payback period is only 4 years for the $$$ invested in this test.

After the HVAC system duct work is installed by the Air Conditioning Subcontractor, we have an Certified Energy Rater perform a leakage test. They use theatrical smoke run through the duct work to test for leaks. 

No matter how good your HVAC contractor, there are going to be leaks unless this type of test is perormed.

Below is a video that provides an example of a typical test. This test shows quite a bit of leakage.
